CONTEXT
DRAFT was undergoing a deep digital transformation of its scientific event services, with the need to offer clients a proprietary, robust, and scalable technology solution. A single platform capable of centralizing the management of medical congresses, healthcare accreditations, registrations, and communications—under the highest standards of reliability, security, and traceability.
THE TECHNOLOGICAL CHALLENGE
The primary challenge was to build a unified platform capable of centralizing, automating, and orchestrating all operational processes of a scientific congress, reducing reliance on fragmented tools and manual workflows.
The solution needed to cover everything from back‑office management to the end‑user experience, integrating critical functionalities into a single system.

A specialized web platform was developed to cover all stages of a scientific event or congress—from abstract submission and scientific committee evaluation to spatial layout configuration and full national and international congress logistics. This solution extends and operationalizes the Poster Session Online platform, enabling full end‑to‑end administration of the entire process.
A key component of the project was the integration of a dedicated C#‑based tool widely used in medical congresses for presenting scientific posters and oral communications.
This highly versatile, community‑validated solution enabled:
- Interactive presentations of abstracts, papers, posters, and oral communications
- Direct use by researchers, with no technical barriers or steep learning curves
- Adaptation to different congress formats: face-to-face, virtual and hybrid.
- High performance even under intensive usage and peak traffic scenarios
The integration was transparently included within the Gescon Health Online subscription, delivering strong differentiation versus standard market solutions and consolidating the platform as a technological benchmark in the scientific congress ecosystem.
